So my oil pan is guarded by the axel on one side and the exhaust pipe on the other. I wanna take it out to clean it after having had used that engine gunk cleaner stuff. Problem is that the exhaust pipes are in the way. They are pretty rusty too. I went out earlier and decided to try to see if I could unbolt it with a ratchet. I didn't wanna push it too hard, given my fear of possibly stripping the bolt, given that the entire exhaust is rusty as HELL.
So what do you guys suggest I do? Would you think it was okay to try to push through unbolting the exhaust? I wish getting to this oil pan were a little easier, tbh. I noticed that the other side looks like the axel to the wheels (I'm not entirely sure though), but I'm wondering if there is a possible avenue past that.
tl;dr: Trying to take out my oil pan to clean it out, but it's blocked by exhaust pipes on one side and axle on the other. Exhaust is rusted, but not crumbling foundation rusted and I'm unsure of the best way to proceed with this.
What'chu guys think?
