My favorites were the Toyota FT1, the '75 Civic, new Miata MX-5, and the Lincoln Continental. The Alfa Romeo 4Cs were gorgeous.
The car that seemed to draw the most attention was the BMW i8. People were flocking to it in hordes when I was there.
There was also three different racing simulation games. The one I took pics of was the Dodge Challenger SRT8 racing game. It was fantastic. Everyone who tried kept spinning out, crashing, not finishing, etc.
A kid who couldn't have been older than 8 years old hopped in and actually finished in 1st place (out of 6) with a best time of 48.8 seconds! I began cheering for him and others in the crowd joined in. That kid was awesome.
An older guy in front of me also tried it and ended up with 48.7 or so seconds as a best lap (out of 2 laps total).
When I went, I swear it started off great. My sister, who was with me, insisted that people in the on-looking crowd were amazed, and one guy kept commenting, "Man, he can corner well! Look at him go!"
Then I went into the grass on my 2nd lap and it slowed me down. Ended up with 52 seconds. :(
I also stupidly bought 20 tickets for $20 to win a C7 Corvette Z06. Of course, I doubt I'll win, but I just wanted to try. I think it was just the Corvette (red one you see in the pics) that drew me in and made my brain think, "Fuckin' try!"
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pics.
