This is more of just a celebratory post for myself.
Ten years ago I started swapping out cars ever 2-3 years always keeping about the same payment.
The Reason was I was driving 25k a year and once I went past power train warranty I didn't want to risk the instant debt for repairs.
Then came our 33k suv purchase. After a year and lost arbitration I traded the truck in at a loss of about 10 grand.
This lead to our little Toyota with 500 dollar payments. So after 44 months I am happy to say I owe 0 for the first time since 2005.
The project cars were always paid in cash but never our daily drivers. Now just to pay off the other!
The best part is my commute is 90 miles less daily so I'm hoping to keep the car for a few more years.
Funny part is I am looking forward to driving it once again.
