I have owned my M3 for a year now. About $8,500 and 9,500 miles later here she is!

Hi all,

Just wanted to share the one year journey of my 2003 e46 M3. As of today I have owned it for exactly one year. it has been a fun year and plan to keep this car forever.

When I first got the car I didn't know how to drive stick and had to drive 10 miles home. Pretty scary to do but I managed to do it and only stalled three times. Also managed to spin the wheels trying to take off from a hill start so that was scary too.

Needed maintenance = $2,779

Preventative Maintenance = $2,100

Mods = $3,610

Biggest actually needed maintenance item were tires which came out to $1,200. Tires are expensive, yo!
