I recently started a new career at Audi. I found out today that the service writers have smart key readers connected to their computers that will display the VIN, model,color, and diagnostic information. I saw one of our writers scan a customer's car and it even listed data such as odometer mileage, oil level, fuel level, and any current diagnostic codes.
