obviously the major series like F1, Nascar, DTM, WRC are cash cows (atleast for winning teams) in terms of sponsorship, merchandising, ticket sales....
but for the other ones like ADAC GT Masters, International GT Open, etc, that live deep deep on the part of the tv channels people have to pay for .... is it still a profitable venture?
i mean, are the owners and stakeholders of these sports in it for the financial returns, or is it a break-even scenario where theyre doing it as a hobby (kinda like local bands touring for gas and food money).
at what point or level does it go from being an investment to a hobby? FIA GT3?
