Just coming here to see if anyone had some quick advice on how to handle this paint damage on my 2015 WRX. It is a little tough to see, but there is a scratch all along the edge of the wheel well in addition to a small dent that is noticeable. http://imgur.com/a/fKiFZ
My dad was trying to park at night on Thanksgiving in a crowded parking lot at our house and scraped my passenger front fender with his car. He is not worried about the damage to his car and he only has state minimum insurance(PA), which covers essentially nothing. Anyone have any insight on how I should handle this? I have a $500 deductible for collision... my plan was to go to a reputable body shop to get a quote and see if this will be more or less than that so that I can determine if I should file a claim for that. My rates shouldn't go up since I was not at fault or driving the car, correct?
