What was/is the best daily driver you've ever owned and why?

Was it sporty or just stupid reliable? Good MPG? Best car story with it?

I only ask because I'm getting rid of my BMW e90 with 70k on the clock and want something a bit more reliable but still fun in it's own way and car stories are the best stories. Fire away!
