After 10 years of driving fwd or awd cars I finally picked up a Miata. I was worried about winter being in Denver but I got some blizzaks. Today was the first day I took the Miata for a drive in the snow and it was a BEAST. it was so stable and easy to drive. Very predictable. So much fun. If you live In a winter climate, snow tires make a HUGE difference. My Miata was as stable as my r32 was with continental dws tires and awd. Buy snow tires!!
