I was standing at the bus stop this morning at the local Park and Ride for my commute in to work. The line was next to two parked cars in the handicapped spots. A young guy, dressed for a typical office job, walks up and puts his backpack and coffee mug on the hood of one of the cars.
I saw this and turned and asked "is this your car?" He said it wasn't. And I said, then why do you think it is OK to put your stuff on it? Your backpack will scratch the paint. He gave me a look and said "relax bro, it's not like it is your car or anything". I then said "it isn't my car but I take a long time taking care of mine and if it was my car I would kill you for what you just did."
WTF! And people in line didn't seem to think anything was wrong with what he did either.
Edit: it was quite apparent in my tone of voice that I was saying I'd kill someone for damaging my car in the way that you don't actually mean for someone to shit themselves when you say "beat the shit out of you". Probably not a great idea just the same. It came out as figuratively not literally but that is hard to convey in text.
