Sorry in advance if this is the wrong subreddit - if it is I'll delete and move to the appropriate location.
A little backstory: I drive a 1993 celica gts (5-speed manual). It is my second car and my first manual. I have had it for about 3 months now. The clutch was replaced by the owner before me about 35k miles ago.
Anyways, today, I was driving home from a friends house and shifted from 3rd to 4th gear and as I let off the clutch, the car just stalled - lost all power and all the warning lights came on. But the weird part is, it was totally smooth. Like I had just shut the car off in motion.
Since then, it seems almost as if the throttle is 'lagging' of sorts (for lack of a better word) I may also just be hypersensitive after what happened on the road earlier, lol.
Either way, I'm just wondering why my car did what it did when it seemed like I was shifting just fine.
Thanks for any help!
