I just looked at a 2002 Volvo V70 with 136k for $3800 that the owner claims has been babied and is in excellent condition. I absolutely love it, from the style to the hauling capacity to the way it drives. I believe them when they say it's a good car, but I'm getting it inspected tomorrow just to be certain. In the meantime, I was doing more research on it and I found out that it requires gas of an octane rating 91 or higher. I'm not a car expert, but I understand that using a lower octane gas in a premium car is really bad for the engine, but they've been putting regular unleaded in it for the past year that they've had it. Should this be a deal breaker? Is this as bad as I think it is? Thanks in advance.
