EDIT: i got it. It's a tvr.
Unfortunately I don't have a picture but I'll do my best to describe it.
It's a small sportscar made by a small company whose logo looks similar to a ford logo from a distance (might be a kit).
The car has a long bonnet with vents and the driver sits far back. It has a very modern look. IIRC the headlights looked like angrier bmw headlights. It's a coupe, sits low, no wing/spoiler.
It looked similar to a bmw z3 vert with the top up. (It wasn't a vert though)
I've seen pictures of it multiple tims so I'm sure its not my imagination. Sorry for the lack of detail bit it's all i remember.

Edit: Its not: s2k, bmw z3/z4, a datsun, miata, lotus, nissan z, toyobaru or any car made by a big company.
Idk if it's sold in the US
Edit 2: on second thought, it looks more like a mini daytona coupe than a z3
