Since a lot of you wanted to see it... here's a full album on the E39 M5 that lives in my garage.

Notice I don't ever refer to this car as strictly mine. This car is my boyfriend's I just happen to think of it as mine as well. It currently lives in the garage at my house next to my Scion.

A little background info about this car: My boyfriend became the owner of this car in November of 2014. It wasn't in awful shape, but it was in need of some TLC. He started by flipping over the upside down 5 on the car, which I talk about in the album and then moved on to replace the front suspension, followed by the driveshaft. After an interesting gator (giant bit of tire in the road) on 880 in Oakland taking out an O2 sensor and resulting in a flat tire, the rear tires were replaced. The front ones had some tread left and he knew we were doing Thunderhill and Lone Pine in just a few months so he figured he'd just finish them off. Before we took it to Thunderhill, we replaced the spark plugs (My first time doing anything this involved while fixing a car.), then he sent it in to do some replacement of the steering that had developed a looseness problem. He's replaced almost every belt in the car, and just finished doing the engine mounts which make the car feel so much smoother. The transmission mounts are next on the list.

The list of things that needs to get done to this car is about as long as my arm and is adding up to about $5,000. Its always a work in progress, but he does most of the work himself, with a little help from me!

I love this car. It has personality. And its not just a sports car. If we had a family, we could put kids in the back with car seats and be good to go. Its multifunctional and an absolute sleeper, unless you know what you're looking for. I've done the mushy, gushy, sappy crap on the Friday thread 'What makes your car special.' So I won't go into too much detail right now. I am a very proud girlfriend. That car is beautiful. Its very much a symbol of my boyfriend's success in his life.

Enjoy the album, everyone.
