Ohio was home to vehicles built by/for all three members of the Japanese big 3 automakes (Honda, Nissan, and yes even Toyota) and the only Saab to ever be built in the USA.
Ohio was the home of the tank like Econoline/E-Series vans and chassis for over 50 years
IN 1930, the city of Avon Lake sent a letter to Ford asking them to consider a new factory there. Ford told them Nope. 44 Years later, Ford started up a new factory in the town
Ford's Massive stamping plant in Walton hills made Body parts for every Crown Vic, Every Econoline, the Thunderbird, the Escape (tribute), Ranger (b series), town car (including Kim Jong Il's), The Nissan Quest (VIllager), and 3 door stamping for the fusion until mid my2012 when Ford shipped all 2012my dies form Cuacutillan Mexico to allow the plant in mexico to start on the new 2013 my dies and debug them.
